The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams travelled to Harts Bluff last night to take on the Bulldogs in their 3rd district game of the season. Here are the results:
7A Boys

In a low scoring nail biter of a game, the 7th grade Mustangs pulled out the victory by a final score of 6-4. Josiah Robinson hit the game sealing jump-shot under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter to seal the game for the Mustangs. Ethan Kessler added 2 points and Jeffrey Ives and Jude McKeever each added a free throw in the contest.
8A Boys
Red Lick 50 Harts Bluff 24
The 8th grade boys started the game off hot, taking an 18-4 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Mustangs had 10 of 12 players put points on the board, led by Ashton Smallwood with 12 points. Braiden Goynes and Kamden Kyles added 9 a piece and were dominant on the defensive end to seal the victory for the Mustangs.
With the wins, the 7A and 8A Mustangs are 3-0 in district play. The Mustangs will be back in action next Monday at home vs. the Rivercrest Rebels. There will be a B boys game at 4:30pm, with 7A starting at 5pm and 8A to follow. This will be the last boys game before the Christmas holiday break.
